Hi, I’m Karissa Paterson!
I’m here to walk alongside you with care, compassion, and a deep belief in your capacity to grow.

Rooted in narrative therapy, strength-based approaches, and trauma-informed care, my work focuses on helping you reframe your story and reconnect with your inner resilience. I offer support to young adults and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions—with a focus on creating a space that feels safe, inclusive, and grounded in empathy.

My background in mental health, addictions, and housing support has shaped how I understand the unique and layered experiences that impact emotional well-being. I tailor each session to meet your needs, offering not just tools—but a relationship built on trust and respect.

Currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, I blend evidence-based practices with a heartfelt, human approach.

Wherever you are on your journey, I’m here to support you in finding clarity, strength, and a sense of forward movement.

COMING SEPTEMBER 2025

Hi, I’m Brenda Deaves!

Currently, I am completing my Masters in Counselling Psychology and will be providing individual counselling as a qualifying registered psychotherapist under regulated supervision and in accordance to the governing body, the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I am very excited to become a part of the team at Authentic Living London and I look forward to working with those who might be struggling and desire to live a happy life. For myself, I grew up in a working-class family and was one of the first of my generation to graduate from college. Despite the challenges of my own lived experiences, including loss, death, addiction, divorce, anxiety, and being stuck, I returned back to school later in life to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Thanatology (Death, Dying, and Bereavement). In addition to my counselling practicum position with Authentic Living London, I am a bereavement group facilitator. When I’m not working, I love to get creative in the kitchen, write, costume design, and catch up with family and friends!

We are now accepting waitlist applicants to work with Brenda Deaves!

Email [email protected] or call/text 226-224-0301 to be added to Brenda’s September client list.

Authentic Living London is proud to be an approved practicum site for the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) program at Yorkville University.

As a practicum site, we offer a supportive and ethical environment for students to develop their skills while receiving supervision from experienced professionals. This partnership allows us to provide compassionate, evidence-informed care to the community at reduced rates, making therapy more accessible to those in need.
